Join Youth Engineering Solutions (YES) for a virtual workshop on how to teach engineering in an afterschool program. Participants will explore engineering practices and how they can be effectively introduced and modeled for youth. Attendees will reflect on the importance of youth developing an engineering identity and the benefits it brings to young people. The session will cover how the engineering design process, technology, and hands-on activities can boost engagement and deepen students’ understanding of engineering. Educators will leave with tools and YES resources to inspire the next generation of problem solvers.
