With support from the Vermont Community Foundation, Vermont Afterschool is releasing a one-time COVID-19 relief funding opportunity for established teen/youth centers that are currently running programming as of January 1, 2021. This funding is to support the continued operation of teen centers serving Vermont youth from 13 years old into their 20s during these challenging times.
Grant awards will be between $5,000-$7,000 per organization and will be available for use from March through August of 2021. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on February 15, 2021.
Eligible teen/youth centers must have non-profit status, have a fiscal agent to receive the funds, a tax ID number, and adhere to the recommended principles & practices outlined in Vermont Afterschool’s “Starting a Youth Center” guidebook (p. 17). The guidebook can be found on the Vermont Youth Center Alliance page here.
