Boot Camp Basics Workshop – Strengthening Relationships with Families and Your Community

Boot Camp Basics are workshops and trainings designed for brand new staff in summer, third space, and out-of-school time programs and are a great way for new staff to orient to the field and learn basic best practices in their work, as well as offer experienced staff opportunities for professional development.

Workshop description: In this virtual workshop we will discuss and learn about the importance of relationships with families and the community. We will also explore the benefits of strengthening those connections in order to enhance program quality. Participants will learn strategies on how to communicate with, and support the families of the children in their program. Participants will also leave with strategies on how to use available resources to benefit the program, the families, and the community.
